I am a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, hold a B.S. in Exercise Science, a k-12 teaching credential in Physical Education and have been an instructor in the health and wellness industry for over 15 years. I am currently a student in the 500-hour teacher training program through the Healing Yoga Foundation. Linking breath and movement, while discovering one’s inner teacher and cultivating deep awareness are a core focus in all classes. Having
been involved in gymnastics for more than 20 years, it was the similar
physicality of the asanas to gymnastics that first piqued my interest in yoga.
However, it wasn’t long after when I experienced the pure vibrancy of flowing
with breath and movement that I realized the path of yoga went well beyond the
asanas. I have been particularly inspired by the compassion, wisdom, and
authenticity of Jonny Kest, Rusty Wells, Paul Dallaghan, Jane Austin, and Seane
Corn (and the list is growing!). A highlight of my yoga journey
has been starting a yoga and gymnastics program for expat families in Shanghai,
China where my husband and I spent 3 years. I teach private and group
classes in Marin County and reside in Mill Valley with my husband and 1-year-old son.
